The Church Building

Continuation of the work of the ancient "Community of Saint Cuthbert" (as the original monks were called) and witness to the Gospel of Christ is being carried on into the 21st century.

During recent years the Parish Church has been further modernized to include heating, electricity, an induction loop for the hard of hearing, a lighting system and a sound system for  the amplification of  voice and music.

It is now complemented by the Parish Centre, opposite, and the opening of worship centres in community buildings in other parts of the parish.

The Parish Centre

 The Parish Centre

This was opened in 1987 and was funded mainly by parishioners. It lies opposite the Church. It houses function and quiet rooms, a library, office facilities and a very popular coffee lounge (renowned for its excellent coffee and chocolate biscuits!) The centre is in constant use and is an invaluable extension to the church building, being a meeting point for both parishioners and visitors every day of the week.
