Parish South

Parish South Family Service

The congregation at Parish South Area Service first started meeting in a local pub in 1973.  In 1981 we  moved to our present home at The Hermitage School, as we had outgrown the pub.

The worship at Parish South follows the Common Worship pattern of service. We have a music group who lead us in an informal way, with variations from traditional hymns to contemporary songs.

We worship in a warm family atmosphere where children are very much a part of our church.  Unsupervised crèche facilities are available during the services for children aged 0 - 3.  Children between the ages of 3 & 14 spend part of the service in their own groups for teaching and activities.

Our current Mission statement is ….

We meet to worship God and enjoy fellowship with each other; so that we may witness to God’s love in Jesus Christ; and serve those around us in the power of the Holy Spirit.”

As well as Sunday worship we operate a number of midweek activities including Cell Groups, a Young Families (Parent and Toddler) Group.

If you would like to join us, or simply pay us a visit, we would love to meet you.
