Parish North Family Service

Our Family Service meets in the main hall of Chester-le-Street C of E Junior School, South Pelaw. We are a group of people encompassing all ages who love our Lord.

We are looking at ways of developing our worship which is a blend of modern and traditional, reflected in our use of songs and service patterns. Children are a natural part of our congregation with a crèche area provided for small children. ‘Lightseekers’ is the name given to our children’s groups which meet in two adjoining classrooms.

As well as Sunday worship we have 3 midweek informal Bible Study/ Home Groups.

Our monthly pattern of services are: 
        1st Sunday    All attend Parish Sunday Family Communion in the Parish Church 
        2nd Sunday   Family Service and Lightseekers
        3rd Sunday    Family Service with Holy Communion and Lightseekers 
        4th Sunday    Family Service and Lightseekers
        5th Sunday    Family Service and Lightseekers

(There may be slight changes around Christmas and Easter festival times)
