The evening service at 6.00pm is Common Worship Evensong or, on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month, Common Worship Holy Communion.
These services are quite different from most of our other services, the congregation is mainly adult and there are very few, if any, children present.
We have the choir accompanied by our organist Peter Galloway.
At the Holy Communion service on the 3rd Sunday, there is an opportunity to receive the ministry of healing through prayer and the laying on of hands (as well as annointing with oil if requested) during communion, in the memorial chapel in the South Aisle.
In the months with a fifth Sunday, the service tries experimental forms of musical worship, such as Taize chants and Iona/World music.
Most of all though at the Evening Service we share the love of God as in all the other services.
