The Alpha course is a ten week introduction to the Christian faith.

It originated at Holy Trinity Church, Brompton,and is now used in many churches all around the world.

Aimed to be a non-threatening course for inquirers or those who are "just looking", it is straightforward in the Biblically based teaching and personal experiences that it presents.

Here in Chester-le-Street, we normally run the Alpha course three times a year. The session includes refreshments, with a talk and a time of questions, discussion or Bible study (in groups of eight to twelve people). 

Whether the course has many members or few, those running it delight in serving, praying for, and encouraging any who are learning about the Christian faith.
